Look At This

Hormonal facial acne, congested pores, tired, dull, wrinkles, laugh lines.... Yeah. I am sure these words added a little salt to your current wound OR reopened that wound. Lets be honest. We are fighting father time and all the wonderful sign of aging. My pictures I post are NOT softened or filter. They are taken as is. I understand the struggles of skin imperfections. We must come to terms and be proactive to minimize the effects or progression.

Don't Roll Your Eyes

Your eyes are the windows to your..... Age. Yeah. Age. I want to talk about in the hundreds of dollars people pay for skin care. I know testing out a bunch was hurting the pocket, but, glad for the try it or your money back guarantee! Loreal, Aveeno, Murad, Juice Beauty, Philosophy, Mary Kay and Avon all went under some testing. Myself and my customers tried all the above products for a minimum of 2 weeks and 1 week break before starting the next brand. Everyone wrote how they felt during and after. Results.

-Loreal: Greasy, dense, easy to apply, burned when applied to under eyes, clumped up, absorption was okay and scent was okay. Minimal results.

-Aveeno: Burned, caused more dryness, light moisture, easy application, absorbed, skin felt still dehydrated, minimal results.

- Murad: moisturized fairly nice, expensive, clumped, not easy to wear with makeup, easy application, absorbed fairly okay, greasy look, fair results of minimized wrinkles.

-Juice Beauty: smelled lovely, easy application, soothing, hydrating, brightened eyes, expensive, minimal results.

-Philosophy: smells nice, heavy, greasy, clumped, not makeup friendly, provided some hydration but fine lines noticeable still.

The Wrong Inspiration

For quite sometime I have been wanting to write about beauty inspiration. I see so many beautiful young ladies and women in my business. All shapes, colors, sizes and wonderful personalities. But, what I can't understand is why they want to look like walking barbie dolls? Fake long thick lashes, thick big pouty lips and contouring/shadowing of the face. Now, I am ALL for manipulating makeup, concealing blemishes and scars AND having fun with makeup. But, altering or creating a completed, false, self- illusion is just not good!

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! You were made perfect! If we were meant to look the same, we would have been made to look the same . Your flaws are what make you even more beautiful then you are! Shadowing and contouring your face to create an illusion of what you 'look like' isn't beautiful. Imagine, you meet a man, your face is done up like a perfect barbie look and then you wash off the 'mask'. Men are visual, by the way. He sees you without the whole illusion and is not happy. Turned off. Fooled for what he thought your features were. Should you be upset he was deceived?

Seems society is attracted to beautiful people. But, the fact us we are sending the wring message with fake eyelashes, fake hair, plastic surgery.... We are saying it not okay to be different and embrace your flaws. Fix them. What makes you beautiful is attitude. Have people attract to you based on YOU. Not your looks.

Makeup is absolutely fun! I'm not saying don't play with it and do fun things! I am simply saying, enhance your natural looks and beauty. Little but of mascara, a bright lipstick and POSITIVE attitude goes a long way. Niki Manaj, Victoria Secret, Sophia Vegara and all of Hollywood, etc... They are entertainers. They are paid to entertain. Amuse us. YOU are here to be happy and embrace your beauty. Your looks may fade but a good loving heart stays beautiful forever.

Why EVERYONE should have a business

Candy is Business

As a kid, I loved candy! Wait! What kid didn't? But, how many of you remembered your favorite, go to, candy store? I remember mine! Surprisingly, since my mind was corrupted from a temporary 'sugar cane' rush. I would jump on my mongoose, shiny, purple bike and rid from the house 7 miles to the corner store. It was right behind the Lansdowne church. It was a heaven! Well, candy heaven. The owner was a older man who just loved us kids. He would tell jokes and throw in free candy. He even was the hot spot before school opened. From that point on, not only did I love my corner store, but, unlike kids my age who aspired to be famous singers and entertainers for the world, I apired to be a business owner. I would actually buy candy from the corner store and resale them to students during the day, marked very high. But, hey! Any kid will pay, any amount of their lunch money, just to get their sugar fix!

You Too Should Be a Business Owner!

When I met and talk to aspiring and current business owners, we all contribute something to society. First off, we help provide jobs within our community. 2nd, we help employees learn business and trade skills for them to have the ability to use for their future business endeavors or operations. 3rd, we also keep the American dream alive. That is the freedom to be independent business owners and providers for ourselves, families and the American people.

Everyone SHOULD have a part time personal business or start one. Its every Americans right to try out their entrepreneurship skills! You have the ability! Do it! Direct Sales business is a GREAT small start up opportunity to see and try out your skills as a business owner. Have you ever thought about it? Owning a business? We all do! We all ask, how? How do I start? Want to dip your foot in the business pool without jumping fully in? Okay. Direct Sales.

Getting Started

Research direct sales companies. Their are hundreds! Don't pick something you think is 'cool.' Pick a business where YOU personally can relate to and use! What people constantly need. Affordable and reasonable.

When I started my business, I made sure it was something I loved and currently did or used everyday! It was something I would always needed to re-up on. It was affordable and was around for a long time with a great name. Most importantly it gave me the ability to make more then 50% mark up on my product.

So, take all the above into consideration when your choosing your own business. Everyone should have a small business in their life! Remember, successful people offer opportunities and share them. As a successful business owner, if you have the need to achieve and drive, the only person holding you back from success is you! Go for it! I believe in YOU and an American business!

I am all about seeing people happy in everything they do in life! Whether its giving flowers to a stranger, helping a person with their groceries, I just LOVE IT! But, what I really love the most is seeing happy employees, managers and owners of businesses! Those people right there will ALWAYS, no matter where they go in life, will be successful. They enjoy being in their work environment, they enjoy interacting with their patrons, they love their products and the smile while they talk. That's a not common attribute.

I was greeted in a store with everyone smiling today! They were very inquisitive to know what I was looking for, style, use and more! They made jokes, we talked about cats and the latest makeup trends! Their manager even came in the conversation as well, without shooing away their employees to go back to doing something with inventory. The environment was fun! NICE! It wasn't because of the displays, or the beautifully decorative shelving, it was from those women.

Being a sales associate at a major department store is a very tiresome job. Dealing with different personalities of people, standing on your feet all day, trying to get credit for their sale... its a VERY hard position. I know, I was a sales associate while I was in college. But, during my observation with this staff, every single one of them had a smile. They really enjoyed talking and being with people. It wasn't about the products their business sold, it wasn't about the shelves decorated bright and festive. These women had a passion that no matter what situation, business or future endeavor they perused, they ARE going to do well!

Kudos to you women! Your an asset to your employer! I hope that you come across this blog and know and know your an amazing asset to any employer and I appreciate the exceptional customer service I received! I also look forward to helping 2 of you grow your Avon business!
