The Wrong Inspiration
For quite sometime I have been wanting to write about beauty inspiration. I see so many beautiful young ladies and women in my business. All shapes, colors, sizes and wonderful personalities. But, what I can't understand is why they want to look like walking barbie dolls? Fake long thick lashes, thick big pouty lips and contouring/shadowing of the face. Now, I am ALL for manipulating makeup, concealing blemishes and scars AND having fun with makeup. But, altering or creating a completed, false, self- illusion is just not good!
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! You were made perfect! If we were meant to look the same, we would have been made to look the same . Your flaws are what make you even more beautiful then you are! Shadowing and contouring your face to create an illusion of what you 'look like' isn't beautiful. Imagine, you meet a man, your face is done up like a perfect barbie look and then you wash off the 'mask'. Men are visual, by the way. He sees you without the whole illusion and is not happy. Turned off. Fooled for what he thought your features were. Should you be upset he was deceived?
Seems society is attracted to beautiful people. But, the fact us we are sending the wring message with fake eyelashes, fake hair, plastic surgery.... We are saying it not okay to be different and embrace your flaws. Fix them. What makes you beautiful is attitude. Have people attract to you based on YOU. Not your looks.
Makeup is absolutely fun! I'm not saying don't play with it and do fun things! I am simply saying, enhance your natural looks and beauty. Little but of mascara, a bright lipstick and POSITIVE attitude goes a long way. Niki Manaj, Victoria Secret, Sophia Vegara and all of Hollywood, etc... They are entertainers. They are paid to entertain. Amuse us. YOU are here to be happy and embrace your beauty. Your looks may fade but a good loving heart stays beautiful forever.
